Golf was introduced for the first time this year at Camp Joint Adventure, the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children camp for patients with arthritis. 95 children, ages 7-15, 105-107 degrees in August, if you can imagine that, and golf! Of course there was swimming, fishing, boating, arts and crafts, etc., but golf made its debut on the softball field and I was pleased to be a part of this addition to camp activities.
